Functions

  • Choose CP, Compound, and Block from a set of dropdowns for simple system navigation.

  • Choose one or any number blocks to view and edit with simple click-and-drag or standard windows Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click mechanics.

  • Right click the selected block(s) to bring up a menu of various actions including Edit, Upload, Delete, Trend, or Template.

  • Edit – Exports the selected code (block parameters or sequence code) to your default text editor for easy viewing or editing.

    • Changes can then be compiled and downloaded to the controller.

    • Any errors will be displayed to the user.

  • Template – Exports a copy of the selected blocks to do a quick find-and-replace and download a new set of logic.

    • Or the user can save the template to be referenced or downloaded at a later time.

  • Trend – Pulls up a list of parameters for the selected blocks to add to your historian via InSync Service.

    • This will generate the .xml file to then be loaded into your historian.

  • Delete – This will allow users to delete the selected blocks.

    • Lynx can save a copy of deleted blocks to be re-added later if needed.

  • Upload – Users can do a parameter upload of all blocks selected.

  • System Auditor Spy windows service can be easily paused/resumed to allow for many changes in succession without interruption from the service.

  • A locked CP can be unlocked from the user interface in case of a freeze.

User Interface

  • Auto generated dropdown menus make Lynx the ultimate tool for system navigation.

  • The universal search bar allows quick access to the entire system.

    • Selecting a block from the search will take the user right to the compound where it is located.

  • Users can constantly see which CP’s are free for editing with the built in lock monitor.

  • The top status bar informs the user on all actions performed and even suggests hints to the user to help them navigate the interface without needing to reference a manual.

  • Lynx remembers settings for each unique user, allowing engineers to refine their personal experience.

    • Settings include various interface options as well as functionality options such as automatically uploading a sequence before downloading to save the state of block parameters.
